It’s winter in the Thumb of Michigan, but not everyone is prepared. So many families here live on a shoe-string budget all year long. When they find that their children have outgrown last year’s winter coat, they do not know where the money for a new one will come from. This is why the members of Trinity United Methodist Church and the community of Sebewaing, begin gathering gently used and new coats, hats, mitten and gloves, even boots, each September. We don’t want even one child to be cold this winter. If you would like to donate or support this ministry, contact the church and ask to leave a message for Cheryl Fuerst.
